I'm Benjamin Seuffert.
My name is Benjamin Seuffert and I'm an allrounder for all your creative projects. I specialize in the combination of technology and art. So pretty much any digital design task is within my field of work.
My main interest is in creating films. While I love working on the perfect edit or a neat VFX shot in post production, nothing compares to the fun of a day of shooting on set. I have worked as a Camera Operator, Best Boy and Sound Technician for many commercials and corporate videos. Back in the office, I mostly do editing and create visual effects.
3D modelling and animation is another pillar of my work. Especially hard surface modelling and environment design are my strengths, but I can also texture, rig and animate 3D models. In combination with my experience in film, I can quickly create cinematic renders or previsualize scenes. I have also created plenty of educational clips utilizing both 3D and 2D animation.
Technology has always held a special place in my heart. Programming and software development offers interesting challenges and opportunities for creative problem solving. With a large part of my course of studies being in the IT sector, I can code in many programming languages and have a deep understanding of computer science. Interface design and user experience is also a topic I focused on in my studies.
Right now virtual reality and augmented reality is one of the most interesting topics for me. The combination of programming, video creation and stage performance that is needed to create immersive 3D worlds is incredibly fascinating. I especially love the VR cooperations with the National Theatre Augsburg, because this enables me to combine my biggest hobby - acting and directing on stage - with many of my professional areas of expertise.
I studied Interactive Media at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg. This course of studies is a cooperation of the faculties of design and computer science. It covered all major topics of digital media creation.
During my time at University I worked as a tutor for web-development and as a student assistant software developer. I was an intern at Spreadfilms, a german filmstudio specialized in advertising and imagefilms. Together with Das Stream Team I worked on many corporate livestreaming solutions.
After writing my bachelors thesis about virtual reality for theatre at the State Theatre Augsburg, I am now working there for digital content and interactive media.
